Services We Offer

Dental Cleaning

Also known as Scaling, this service provides the removal of both soft (plaque) and hard (calculus) deposits from above and below the gum line. This procedure is completed by means of an ultrasonic scaler and hand-held instruments.

1

Dental Polishing

Also known as Stain Removal, this procedure helps remove any extrinsic staining, meaning stain that is not a part of or inside the tooth. These extrinsic stains can be caused by coffee, tea, wine, smoking, or your saliva makeup. A selective coronal polish is completed for those in need of stain removal.

2

Fluoride Treatment

A Fluoride varnish treatment aids in the prevention of decay by strengthening the first layer of your teeth (enamel) as well as acting as a desensitizing agent to help with tooth sensitivity. A paint-on method with a micro brush is used to apply sodium fluoride varnish on the tooth surface. The varnish is fast reacting making it safer and less probable for ingesting. Clients are instructed to not drink alcohol or brush their teeth for 4-6 hours after the treatment.

3

Periodontal Reading

A Periodontal reading is the measurement of space between your tooth and your gum. An instrument called a probe is used to gather these readings. These pocket depth readings allow for your dental hygienist to gain an understanding of your oral condition and create a treatment plan best suited to you. Once the process is completed, findings are discussed with the patient.

4

Oral Hygiene Instruction

The purpose of Oral health education is to impart knowledge on the significance of good oral care and the importance of seeing a dental professional regularly. We aim to educate our clients on the significance of removing oral biofilm via toothbrushing and flossing to prevent inflammation caused by localized factors.

5

Teeth Whitening

After deemed fit by your dental hygienist a separate appointment will be booked to complete a teeth whitening. Your dental hygienist will start by applying Vitamin E oil to your lips and the insides of your cheek. A cheek retractor will be placed followed by a protective guard over your gums. Once the whitening solution has been placed on your teeth, a total of 4 sessions at 8 minutes per session are completed. Full whitening results are reflected after 2 weeks.

6

Oral Cancer Screening

This is completed at the start of each appointment. The dental hygienist will examine the floor of your mouth, cheeks, lips and tongue to check for any abnormalities. A simple loupe light and a clinical check is all that is needed.
